If you’re not alone to travel you can reduce expenses and come by taxi. The rate at the moment is 320 EURfrom Kyiv Borispil to Lvov (Lviv).

And finally you can get to Kyiv city which is at 40min. from Kiev airport. You can get there by bus (3 Euros in October 2011) or by taxi (25 euros in October 2011)
There’re around 8 trains each day from Kiev to Lvov, the rate is nearly17 EUR and shold be identical in June 2012.
There’s no option buy a train ticket online for now.

Concerning accommodation, there’re few rooms in Lvov hotels, but you’ll have another chance to stay in Lvov and few foreing tourists know about it. Furnished flats Lviv for short term are much less expensive then hotel rooms, but the cost is set by flat and not per person. Even if apartments owners want to take money per traveler it will be still more attractive. Another advantage, you’ll have furnished kitchen in any apartment in Lvov (Lviv), so you don’t spent money for restaurants.
